JENNY GRANADO, AKA, MALDITA GENI THALIA
Jenny Granado, a.k.a. Maldita Geni Thalia (Uruana, Brasil 1990).
Is a performer, indisciplinary artist, dancer.. In her work, she proposes renewed existences for the use of the body and public space through means such as performance, piracy, moving image, video and street and sound interventions. The work manages a kind of anti-erotic game between the desire and the force of violence, to resignify normative slogans like woman, territory, spectacle and sexuality. She has participated in festivals, exhibitions and residencies in Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Puerto Rico, China, Ecuador, Peru, Norway, Finland and the Netherlands. She is a founder of FILMARALHO (2012), a Latin-American collective for the production and diffusion of experimental video and performance. Since 2015 she has been working through funk dance workshops this proposal of “social desCulonización.”

Geni es performer, artista indisciplinaria y bailarina. En sus diferentes proyectos propone re-existencias para el uso del cuerpo y del espacio público a través de medios como el performance, piratería, imagen en movimiento, video, intervenciones callejeras y sonoras. Maneja una especie de juego (anti)erótico para resignificar consignas normativas como mujer, territorio, espectáculo, y sexualidad. Participó de festivales, muestras y/o residencias por México, Brasil, Colombia, Puerto Rico, China, Ecuador, Perú, Noruega, Finlandia, Amsterdam. Es fundadora (2012) del colectivo latinoamericano de producción y difusión de video experimental y performance FILMARALHO, y desde 2015 viene trabajando a través de talleres de baile funk su propuesta de la: desCulonización social.
